Subsoiling Cuts N₂O Emissions in Pasture Soils #worldresearchawards #SoilScience #NitrousOxide
This study shows that subsoiling can reduce nitrous oxide (N₂O) emissions in grazed pasture soils by improving soil structure, increasing gas diffusivity, enhancing oxygen availability, and influencing microbial community composition. These changes help limit conditions that promote N₂O production, supporting more sustainable pasture management and climate-friendly agricultural practices.
